Scarlet macaw Parrots are relatively quiet birds, making whistling and other non-offensive sounds.They usually begin talking at four months of age although some can take up to one year before they say words and sentences.
They are highly intelligent and active birds and need lots of toys and a fairly large cage to play in.
They are also very affectionate birds, needing hugs and kisses and lots of physical contact.
If socialized well as young birds, they will accept all members of a family as part of their flock but can bond to a specific member of the family.

I have a beautiful Bolivian scarlet macaw male ready for sale. He is around 9 months old. Loves attention and loves to petted. Has been vet checked and current on all vaccinations. Price includes cage , play toys and other accessories .dna'd male, Bolivian scarlet macaw. he is on one feeding of formula a day and eating fruits, nuts, veggies and seeds etc . My male parrot is a great talker and a good singer too he is quite versed with English words and has a word vocabulary capacity of 400words , He is called Dany he will bring lots of love and bundles of joy into any lovely home before this new year , health registered and DNA tested , comes over with a health warranty/pets plan of 2years from a registered State veteneran .
